How to use clare essentials' oils

clare essentials oils are highly concentrated and should never be used undiluted on the skin. For massage, always dilute the oils in unrefined vegetable carrier oils such as Sweet Almond Oil. If you expect to the using your own blend over a longer period of time, add 10 to 20% of Wheatgerm Oil to the blend which will act as a natural preservative.

Bath

Add a total of 4 - 6 drops of essential oil(s) to the bath and swish around.

Inhalation

For immediate relief, sprinkle a total of 3 - 4 drops of essential oil(s) on a handkerchief and inhale deeply.

Add a total of 4 drops of essential oil(s) to a basin of hot water, cover your head with a towel, close your eyes and inhale deeply.

Massage

For a "one-off" massage, add a total of 5 drops of essential oil(s) to 15ml (3 tsp.) of carrier oil.

For larger quantities, add a total of 10 drops to every 30ml (6 tsp.) of carrier oil. You can include 10% each of avocado oil, calendua oil or jojoba oil in your blend to enrich the oil for your particular skin type and don't forget to include wheatgerm oil if you want your blend to last for a while.

Compress

Hot compresses are used for muscular aches. Ass a total of 8 drops of essential oil(s) to a medium-sized bowl, immerse a clean piece of cloth in it, squeeze it out and apply to the affected part immediately. Cover and leave in place for 2 hours or overnight.

Cold compresses are used for sprains and headaches. Repeat the above-mentioned procedure.

Burners/Vaporisers/Diffusers

Fill the tray/bowl of an oil burner with water and add 3 - 5 drops of your chosen essential oil or essential oil blend. Then light the candle underneath to gently heat the water and allow the oils to evaporate.

Add 1 - 5 drops to a vaporiser, diffuser, etc. (see manufacturer's instructions).
